I have always been under the impression that Unix/Linux was virus-proof. So ClamAV comes as a complete shock to me. Regardless, this is a command prompt only application (despite the windows installation screens) which works fairly well when you get used to its functions. ClamAV will run before windows even runs, ensuring hassle free virus scans and lightning fast scanning. This function alone makes it a worthwhile (and totally free) download. ClamAV can be easily updated from the command prompt as well. Get to know ClamAV and your pc will thank you for it (but probably not)

ClamAV For Windows is a port of the very popular Open Source antivirus scanner for UNIX/Linux operating systems to the Win32 platform. Using the Cygwin compatibility layerm all major features are implemented (including the Clamd Daemon for very fast scanning, and the FreshClam update tool).
This comes with an easy to use installer/uninstaller and all the DLL files needed to make it function. There are also several mail server and web proxy applications for that can directly integrate with ClamAV For Windows and provide complete protection for your Windows Server.
